tearing down walls and showing Mexicans respect, cuz when
you eat on a taco you're recognizing latin heritage
So you do yourself a disservice when you disparage it.
As for me, I love my brown skinned guys
for their laid-back style and the way they get by.
My Cuban Mexi Ricans don't let nothing faze them,
they handle their business regardless of who's hating.
If your last name's sanchez, martinez or corona,
stand proud, and don't let all them other folk disown ya
you're as american as they are, maybe you are more.
cuz what's more American than working hard for
your family? Ain't' that the stereotype?
that guys from south of the border work hard to make it through life?
let's embrace that, and take that time for a siesta.
drink up and have fun, like it's a fiesta.

Mayan calendar counting the days until your next reign.
we love your food (burrito!) we love your drink (tequila!)
we love your style (the people!) and so I think
that anybody that's hesitant to embrace another culture
is missing out on some wonderful things they can discover
like frilly Mexican dresses in white with bright colors
low riders with chrome engines and tires of white rubber
even dressing like a skeleton on Dia de la muerte
you can learn a lot about life by living their way.
see, mainstream society can be a thief the way they
steal your tradition but never tell you they appreciate.
so for a day let me appropriate your culture
and recognize the greatness in my brown-skinned brothers
anything that brings us together in love can't be evil.
