I concepted this song as a braggadocio, metaphor-filled lyrical tour-de-force over a grandiose, epic orchestrated beat. I actually rewrote the lyrics to the first two verses after listening to some of my favorite rappers, because I knew I could do better. Hope you like it. I was originally going to sample Pat Metheny’s “In The Heat of the Day,” but I instead chose a variation of "Fight 4: The Final Battle" by Noriyuki Iwadare. Can you get all of the metaphors?
